To analyse stock movement and trends, in order to accurately track stock movements and identify and implement process improvements to minimise stock losses due to various operational reasons. The incumbent will also manage the business processes and co-ordinate resources to ensure accurate internal, as well as inter-branch stock replenishment, according to the required quantity, quality, and productivity requirements. The incumbent will also manage the monthly system hygiene audit and co-ordinate the system housekeeping activities required.
Is responsible for the site safety program and ensures that the environment supports the safety of all employees.
Key performance areas
Conduct stock analysis reviews for the various cycle counts and present a monthly report to the Operations Director.
Conduct trend analysis on deviations.
Manage stock deployment model between branches to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained and that proper stock rotation between DC’s are maintained.
Provide and ensure the optimal utilisation of material, equipment and technology within the warehousing operation.
Implement business processes with supporting standard operating procedures (SOPs) within the framework of the relevant business practice.
Co-ordinate stock variance investigations and feedback on Tolerance Report to Operation Director and Clients where required.
Manage cost as it relates to the scope of the Inventory Manager.
Analyse and report on process performance and risk, to identify improvement initiatives.
Analyse relevant business intelligence to identify, justify and drive continuous improvement initiatives for clients/customers (internal/external).
Resolve client/customer queries and maintain client/customer relationships.
Complete own training successfully as per an agreed personal development plan (PDP).
Qualifications required
Matric.
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or related.
Skills and experience required
5-8 years’ experience in a similar environment.
SAP experience essential.
Stock Control experience.
Exceptional analytical skills.
