Inventory Manager
Job description
- Degree or Tertiary Diploma in Warehousing and Logistics
- At least 8 years of Stock Management experience.
- 3 years should be at the Management Level
- At least 5 years experience in respect of inbound logistics
Responsibilities:
Receiving
- Reduce Turnaround time of Supplier vehicles - improve weekly scheduling.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding quality-related issues.
- Suggest improvements in the receiving process.
- Ensuring what is received is correctly captured on SAP.
- Ensure stock quality is adhered to at the point of receiving, and flag non -compliance.
Stock Management
- Manage stock to improve stock accuracy.
- Manage and Lead Monthly counts.
- Investigate and close out findings.
- Report on findings and variances daily.
- Initiate and authorize stock adjustments.
- Initiate the SAV process and make sure the SAV and Labelling are done immediately.
- Improve the stock rotation (FIFO) process.
- Led team to improve batch refills.
- WMS custodian.
- Audit current processes suggest improvement and implement initiatives.
- Contribute to the improvement of the CDC OTIF percentage.
People Management
- Mentor and train subordinates.
- Regular meetings with team and Management.
- Manages the recruitment and training of new inventory employees.
- Report daily, weekly, and monthly on stock variance and adjustments.
- Reduce stock write-offs.
- All Migo's done relating to daily receiving.
- Oversee the APDP process and compliance.
Customer Service
- Contribute positively to improve our customer service by maintaining a high level of stock accuracy amount at all business units.
- Collaborate and liaise with internal customers.
- Ensure compliance with internal SLA by the Distribution team.
- Initiate continuous improvement initiatives to improve stock management and accuracy.
- Improve Receiving and Inventory processes.
