Inventory Clerk

Responsibilities

1. Assist in maintaining a clean, efficient and effective storeroom operation by following procedures to receive, unpack, inventory, store (as necessary) and account for supplies and equipment.
2. Assist in receiving packing lists for stock items.
3. Contribute to an accident-free work environment by keeping the Stores area clean, neat, orderly, and free of clutter and debris; properly storing and handling hazardous materials, solvents, and chemicals; following the operators manual for storage and use.
4. Assist other departments as needed.
5. Maintain and update inventory stock records.
6. Monitor inventory levels and usage.
7. Conduct regular inventory stock counts.
8. Report on variances in stock levels.
9. Generate POs for approval.
10. Receipt and dispatch stock maintaining processes and documentation.
11. Update inventory systems.
12. Specify the physical location of all samples and supplies.
13. Track and follow-up on the quantity of remaining supplies, backorders, etc., and receive notifications when stock is running low.
14. Track expiration dates on materials.

Requirements

Matric

At least 2 years experience.
