What will you do?
The Internal Marketing and Events Specialist will manage the implementation of the internal communications calendar and ensure the internal communications plan is aligned with the broader strategy and culture plan. You will work closely with stakeholders, supporting various departments to drive employee communication and activities that encourage Miway’s service culture. Identify and implement engagements and communications opportunities to connect leadership with employees to ensure that staff across all locations are actively engaged and feel included. Liaise with and manage third-party suppliers to ensure high-quality and cost-effective service delivery.
The Specialist will create awareness and drive buy-in on pertinent business issues and employee engagement activities:
Plans and implements internal and external events
Coordinates company-wide internal communication using multiple channels and platforms
Minimum Qualification and Skills Required
Marketing/Communication/PR/Journalism degree or equivalent
Proven track record (+5 years of experience) of developing corporate communications and internal marketing activities.
Proven experience in creating and executing internal communications, campaigns, and events.
Ability to identify and analyse business and audience needs to deliver messages via the most appropriate mix of channels.
Proactive nature with the ability to work independently and flexibly.
Fluency in English with creative writing ability that has a strong adherence to business English grammatical standards.
Superior collaboration and interpersonal skills
The ability to confidently interface, brief and lead conversations with all levels of employees and cross-functional teams.
Minimum Experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the successful implementation of internal marketing activities and campaigns
Minimum 5 years’ experience in successfully executing events from end-to-end
Minimum 5 years’ experience in writing various forms of corporate communications for multiple channels
Deliverables include, but will not be limited to:
Creating engaging content using the most relevant and appropriate communication channels
Developing messaging and internal communications plans for company updates, key initiatives and campaigns, and other business topics
Developing and executing on events that deliver world-class experience
Ensuring the timely dissemination of internal communication
Activating internal marketing activities to keep our employees informed, engaged, and enthused
Implementing Internal Marketing and employee engagement activities
Driving employee understanding, knowledge, and buy-in to the strategic direction of the business
Executing engagement sessions and communications opportunities to connect leadership with employees
Working closely with the HR and Learning & Development teams to facilitate the delivery of employee communications campaigns
Working closely with the Client Experience team to drive communication and activities that drive our service culture
Executing both virtual and in-person staff events, roadshows, connection sessions, workshops, etc.
Managing third-party suppliers, including agencies and designers to ensure timely, on-brief and high-quality output
Support and assist with other marketing activities, as required.
Event Management:
Planning and Coordination:
Organize and execute internal events such as employee recognition ceremonies, team-building activities, holiday parties, leadership summits, and training workshops.
Vendor Management:
Source and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and venues, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with budgetary constraints.
Logistics Oversight:
Handle event logistics, including budgeting, scheduling, registration, attendee tracking, and on-site execution.
Post-Event Analysis:
Conduct evaluations to measure event success, gathering feedback to enhance future events.
