Job Profile Summary:
The Internal Communication Specialist will operate within the Branding and Communication Team in Durban, primarily focusing on activating the Company Transformation communication across all Derivco offices globally. The role involves connecting our organisation, leadership, and employees, ensuring equitable communication across our 14 global offices with a total audience of 2000 employees.
You will be tasked with developing and implementing internal communication strategies that are engaging, creative, innovative, and successful based on measured outcomes. These strategies should drive business results and foster a positive work culture across all global offices.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Take communication briefs and requirements from key stakeholders to develop and roll out communication strategies and plans globally or via targeted communications.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive internal communication plan.
- Invest time in understanding the problem statement, business history, and people before execution.
- Conduct research, analyze metrics, network, and gather survey feedback to understand the business problem statement and incorporate findings into communication strategies.
- Write effective communication materials.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure the strategy and plan are comprehensive and craft key messages to communicate business goals.
- Align all Service Teams on initiatives to ensure the activation process and elements are covered.
- Brief the Creative Team on all requirements based on the communication plan and understand creative execution timelines.
- Make decisions on project priorities, manage stakeholders' expectations, and push back when necessary to ensure adequate time, effort, and quality are invested in deliverables.
- Create, coordinate, and disseminate internal communication materials effectively.
- Understand the people, culture, languages, and skills in all our 14 global locations to communicate inclusively.
- Manage communication on all platforms.
- Conduct internal communication metrics and analytics.
- Operate with a future-thinking mindset by identifying potential issues affecting our culture and addressing them proactively.
- Work independently to understand and solve problems, ask questions, research, and network with relevant people to form a brief.
