Internal Auditor

Purpose

Responsible for conducting internal audits, assessing risk management and control systems, and providing recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.

Qualification & Skills Required

1. Bachelor’s degree in Internal Audit, Business Administration, or related field.
2. Minimum 4 years of experience in an Internal auditing environment. Knowledge of King IV Principles and application.

Competencies

1. Support the establishment and promotion of the internal audit department.
2. Implement internal audit plans based on a risk assessment process.
3. Develop and implement a quality assurance and improvement programme for the department.
4. Perform the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability, and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations.
5. Obtain, analyse, and evaluate accounting documentation, reports, data, flowcharts, SOPs, etc.
6. Identify potential risks and areas of improvement.
7. Detect and prevent financial and operational risks.
8. Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
9. Conduct special audits and investigations as required.
10. Work closely with other departments to understand their processes and controls.
11. Provide support and guidance on internal controls and risk management.
12. Prepare detailed audit reports with findings and recommendations.
