Job Title: Intermediate Mobile Developer
Accountable to: VP of Engineering
Based: Centurion
Salary: Market related
Contract type: Fixed-Term

Overview: An Intermediate Mobile Developer is responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining mobile applications across various platforms. The developer is expected to build efficient, user-friendly, and scalable applications. They work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, backend developers, and project managers, to ensure the successful delivery of mobile solutions. They lead and mentor junior developers, ensuring best practices in coding, architecture, and design are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Application Development: Develop, test, and maintain mobile applications using frameworks like React Native and Xamarin.Forms. Incorporate user feedback to enhance functionality and usability.
  2. Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct unit testing and debugging to identify and resolve issues, ensuring a high-quality application and optimize app performance and responsiveness.
  3. Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with designers, backend developers, and project managers to ensure project alignment and successful delivery. Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for code, processes, and project updates.
  4. Documentation: Document work, including technical specifications, API documentation, and user guides to facilitate collaboration, maintainability, and knowledge transfer within the team and across the organization.
  5. Project Management: Manage and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines and deliverables. Participate in Agile practices, such as sprint planning and retrospectives, to contribute to iterative development.
  6. Continuous Learning and Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest technologies, trends, and industry practices, actively seek opportunities for professional growth, attend relevant conferences or workshops, and explore new tools or frameworks that can enhance skills and contribute to project success.

Qualification and Experience:

  1. Educational Background: A Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Experience: 2-5 years or more, with a portfolio of completed projects is required.
  3. A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is often required.
  4. Technical Skills: An intermediate mobile developer should excel in React Native and Xamarin.Forms, with a strong focus on cross-platform development for both iOS and Android.

Additional duties may be assigned as required.
