Who we are:

Mama Money is a growth stage fintech startup working to help migrant workers in South Africa send money home. Since 2015 we have been providing reliable remittances, at a socially fair price, to those that need it most.

Mama HQ is in beautiful Cape Town, South Africa. We are 131 people strong (and counting) from 19 countries across Africa, Asia, the UK, and Europe. In order for us to continue to grow and be impactful we want to improve our product for our customers and our agents. The Integration Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of technical integration projects with our partners.

As our Integration Manager you will:

  • Support the planning and execution of 3rd party integrations with various technology platforms that we use and services alongside our teams.
  • Collaborate closely with tech and data teams to define integration requirements and timelines.
  • Develop and support project plans, ensuring milestones are met.
  • Act as a technical liaison between internal and external partners, facilitating clear communication and alignment throughout the integration process.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and roadblocks that may arise during integrations, ensuring smooth implementation and functionality.
  • Project manage 3rd party integrations to ensure smooth, timely delivery.
  • Communicate updates and delays to project stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in integration technologies, applying best practices to enhance our integration capabilities at Mama Money.

In your first 90 days at Mama Money you will:

  • Get to know the ins and outs of our business, in particular; how the various systems and teams work together.
  • Understand who we are, where we are coming from and what we are trying to accomplish, taking our values into account.
  • Get up to speed on the current and upcoming projects; understand the blockers and challenges and suggest innovations and changes.
  • Work closely with the Tech Team to understand the quarterly priorities at Mama Money.

About you:

  • A technical background / technical exposure in software development.
  • Understanding and experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal.
  • Business analysis and systems implementation experience.

  • You have worked within the fintech space or at a rapidly scaling startup.
