Job Overview
The Infrastructure Operations Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the stability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of IT infrastructure. This role involves influencing stakeholders, managing vendor relationships, and contributing to the success of projects by leveraging technical expertise and strategic collaboration.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Infrastructure Management & Operations
• Ensure the stability, scalability, and performance of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, and cloud environments.
• Monitor and optimize infrastructure components to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Manage incident response, problem resolution, and service improvements in line with ITIL best practices.
• Oversee system upgrades, patches, and security updates to maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Project Contribution & Strategic Influence
• Contribute to the success of IT projects by influencing internal teams, customers, suppliers, and senior management.
• Assess project requirements and provide technical recommendations to optimize infrastructure solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure solutions align with business goals and IT strategy.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Stakeholder & Vendor Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, customers, governance organizations, and external service providers.
• Manage vendor contracts, service-level agreements (SLAs), and performance evaluations to ensure optimal service delivery.
• Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Security & Compliance
• Ensure IT infrastructure aligns with security best practices, risk management frameworks, and compliance requirements.
• Work closely with cybersecurity teams to mitigate vulnerabilities and enforce security policies.
• Conduct audits, risk assessments, and implement preventive measures to safeguard IT assets.
• Leadership & Knowledge Sharing
• Mentor and guide junior IT staff, sharing best practices and technical expertise.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, trends, and industry advancements to drive innovation within the organization.
• Provide documentation and training sessions to ensure knowledge transfer and operational continuity.

Minimum Qualifications And Experience

• Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and best practices for IT service management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Experience working with third-party vendors and managing service agreements.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and compliance standards.
