Bombela Maintenance is looking to recruit 1 x Infrastructure Engineer.

The main purpose of this role is to manage all aspects of wayside equipment maintenance required to provide passengers with a safe, effective and efficient transportation service. The role also requires providing support to the Infrastructure Manager in managing a multi-disciplinary team.

This role will be based at the Gautrain Maintenance Depot in Midrand, Johannesburg.

YOUR ROLE:

1. Provide support and perform follow up with a multi-disciplinary team in:
2. Achievement of maintenance performance criteria
3. Effective development and control of the budget
4. Effective stakeholder relationship management
5. Effective teamwork and self-management
6. Perform follow up on Wayside non-conformances, open action requests, open audit findings and assist with any correspondence with external parties.
7. Arrange & facilitate incident reviews and technical investigations.
8. Analyse and facilitate integration of data coming from Operations (Return on Experience).
9. Review and improve infrastructure processes and procedures.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Civil Engineering. Registerable with ECSA as Professional Engineer.
2. 5+ years experience within a railway maintenance function.
3. Good knowledge of railway maintenance principles.
4. Exposure / knowledge of railway rules and regulations.
5. Multi-disciplinary exposure to various railway sub-systems (e.g., tracks, signaling, electrical, etc).
6. Coordination of planning between the various subsystems.
7. South African citizen.
