Obsurv Technologies is a young and growing company making strides in the IT industry. We specialize in providing bespoke IT solutions to our clients and complete IT Support. We are looking for a Senior IT Support Technician for an on-site placement reporting to the director.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first- and second-line support via phone and in-person to end-users.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Assist with the administration of Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace.
- Advanced troubleshooting of virtualization principles and Layer 1 - 3 networking.
- Communicate effectively in English and follow established procedures for issue resolution and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements, including maintaining a clean criminal record.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Desktop OS (Windows 7, 8, 10, 11) and Server OS (Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022).
- Experience with all versions of Microsoft Office.
- Advanced understanding of virtualization principles and Layer 1 - 3 networking.
- Advanced understanding of networking protocols
- Understanding of IT Security
- Advantageous to have working knowledge of Sophos Firewalls, Microsoft Hyper-V, IP PBX platforms, and Ruckus Networking
Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications or equivalent experience in IT support.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and work independently or as part of a team.
