Information Technology Manager

Job Title: IT Manager – Cape Town

Reports to: Managing Director

Salary: R35 000 - R45 000 Gross/CTC (dependent on current salary). Note: industry standards is 20 - 30% hike on current salary.

Office: Based in Cape Town CBD

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Requirements:

1. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Admin Centres and Licensing
2. Working knowledge of SQL database management
3. Working knowledge of on-premise infrastructure such as servers and firewall rules

IT Governance & Process Management:

1. Develop, document, and maintain IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
2. Oversee IT department time management, ensuring effective prioritization and allocation of resources.
3. Ensure IT process flow is optimized and aligns with business needs.
4. Maintain and update IT process documentation, ensuring clarity and consistency.

Executive & Departmental Support:

1. Provide executive-level IT support, ensuring smooth technology interactions for senior leadership.
2. Act as a liaison between IT and other business units, ensuring alignment of IT initiatives with business objectives.
3. Support and make recommendations to department heads with IT-related reporting and data insights.

Reporting & Performance Management:

1. Generate and analyse IT department reports, tracking key performance metrics.
2. Monitor IT service efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
3. Provide feedback and insights to optimize IT department performance.

Team Leadership & Coordination:

1. Supervise and provide training and/or guidance to two Junior IT Support staff.
2. Oversee the IT Manager’s workflow, ensuring a balance between technical system support and operational needs.
3. Foster collaboration and communication within the IT team to enhance productivity.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in IT operations, business process management, or IT support leadership.
