Information Security Officer

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Officer to oversee our client's security program, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data and systems. This role involves developing, implementing, and enforcing security policies, managing security systems, and collaborating with other departments to safeguard our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain information security programs, policies, and procedures.
• Oversee security architecture and systems management.
• Conduct regular control assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Manage incident response and disaster recovery plans.
• Assist with compliance and audits (e.g., ISO 27001, POPIA).
• Develop and deliver security awareness training.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments on security measures.
• Manage vendor relationships and third-party security compliance.
• Administer access management systems and provide regular security reports.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong business acumen and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• In-depth understanding of cybersecurity technologies and risk management.
• Experience in managing security projects from start to finish.
• Ability to prioritize and assess risks in a dynamic environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
• CISSP, CISM, or CISA certification required.
• Additional certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure, CCNP Security, Fortinet, Palo Alto) preferred.
• Experience with security technologies (e.g., firewalls, SIEM, intrusion detection/prevention) is a plus.
• Clear criminal and ITC record.
• Minimum of 3 years in a similar or technical role with a focus on information security.
