About the job Industrial Relations Officer
- Tertiary qualification in HR / IR / LLB.
- 5+ years experience in IR
- Excellent knowledge of all relevant legislation, including: MIBCO Main Agreement, LRA, BCEA, SDA, EEA.
- Automotive (MIBCO) Experience non-negotiable
- In-depth exposure to Unions

Responsibilities:
- Investigating incidents for charge / warning formulation and oversee disciplinary enquiries
- Charge formulation / Drafting notices to attend disciplinary enquiries
- Assist Management / Supervisors in preparation for disciplinary enquiries
- Facilitate as a mediator when required to resolve employee grievances
- Manage disciplinary actions, retrenchment and litigation.
- Strike Management
- Assisting with management of staff regarding performance management, late coming, absenteeism and various labourissues
- Assist Management and Supervisors in the issuing of warnings and advise management on warnings to be issued
- Prepare and issue dismissal / termination documentation and procedures
- Represent the company at CCMA and DRC
- Ensure legislative compliance and consistency
- Build, manage and maintain relationships (Workplace Forum, Shop Stewards and Union Officials)
- Ensure people management and employee relations are smooth
- Building and maintaining successful relationships with various stakeholders
- Ensure fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures
- Ensure regular engagement sessions / meetings with labour stakeholders to ensure a harmonious workplace.
- Perform any other tasks related as and when required by Management, and give support to Holding Group requests.
