Industrial Quality Manager

Date: 15 Apr 2025

Company: Alstom

At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. Every day, more than 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Could you be the Site Industrial Quality Manager in our dynamic factory setting we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive quality management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and innovative teammates.

You'll lead our Zero Defect Program, ensuring Industrial Quality compliance with customer requirements and Alstom standards. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Production, Engineering, Supply Chain), spearhead the implementation of Quality Control Plans, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of leading control and process digitalization, as well as managing actions to enhance outgoing product quality.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Supporting the Project Manufacturing Engineer to ensure non-compliance risks analysis using Process FMEA.
  • Leading implementation of Quality Control Plans using Return of Experience (REX) from previous projects and associated relevant Industrial Quality staffing.
  • Driving control and process digitalization initiatives.
  • Performing analysis and managing actions to improve outgoing product quality.
  • Escalating main anomalies detected on production lines and ensuring their effective treatment using Problem Solving tools.
  • Supporting manufacturing teams in quality matters and developing self-inspection capabilities.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • A B-Tech/degree in Engineering (electromechanical, electrical, material, mechanical) or equivalent.
  • A B-Tech in Quality Management System or Project Quality Management qualification.
  • At least 10 years of experience in manufacturing/industrial quality.
  • Experience in managing Quality tools and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Knowledge of the railway industry (norms, certifications…) would be beneficial.
  • Proven management experience and ability to work in a matrix organization.
  • International mindset, fluent in English, and excellent cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to drive change and influence outcomes.

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and supportive colleagues.
  • Contribute to innovative projects.
  • Learning and development through our Quality academy and Alstom University.

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!

As a global business, we’re an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 63 countries we operate in. We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace for everyone.
