Job Title: Industrial Engineer

Name & Title of Direct Superior: Industrial Engineer (Head)

Main Purpose of Job: To ensure that the business is operating as efficiently as possible with the most innovative and modern solutions.

Key Performance Areas (Core, essential responsibilities outputs of the position):

1. Project Management:
   • Manage projects across the business.
   • Implement agile and waterfall project methodologies.
   • Conduct project impact meetings with scorecards.
   • Diagnose and solve bottlenecks in the projects.
2. Business Process Improvement (KAIZEN):
   • Implement kaizen principles to improve business processes.
   • Act as an internal consultant/process expert for the various departments.
   • Identify business issues and conduct workshops around problem definition.
   • Investigate and measure the extent of the problem in each of the departments.
   • Solve the problem using the most efficient method.
   • Maintain and control the systems, where solutions have been implemented.
   • Redesign business processes to work as optimally as possible to save time and resources.
3. Data Analytics:
   • Building and maintaining the company scorecards that track company and departmental goals with Power BI.
   • Conduct analysis, scenario planning, and simulation through mathematical/management accounting models.
   • Promote a culture of data-driven decision making.
4. Innovation/Research:
   • Facilitating workshops to provide a platform for engineers and data analysts to innovate and share ideas.
   • Automating business processes through RPA (Power Automate, Power BI, Smartsheet Automation, chatbots).
   • Data science through ML and AI.
   • Researching technology and 4IR ideas that can be brought into the business.

Minimum Requirements:

EDUCATION:

1. Degree (Bachelors):
   • BEng Industrial Engineer/Business Process Engineer Education.
2. Competencies (Advantageous):
   • Management Accounting Certification (high-level financial understanding).
   • Project Management.
   • Lean Six Sigma.
3. 0-2 Years experience.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS/PHYSICAL COMPETENCIES:

1. Data analysis systems (Power BI).
2. Project management tools (Smartsheet).
