Hygiene Manager

Key Performance Areas:

1. Maintain the hygiene inspection log book.
2. Ensure that all aspects of the hygiene services are carried out and maintained to the required standard.
3. Manage the hygiene budget and record all authorized expenditure.
4. Manage the ordering and stock control of hygiene consumables and chemicals.
5. Maintain detailed cleaning instructions and schedules for every hygiene activity to meet the requirements of the food safety standards.
6. Manage pest control and oversee the completion of all pest prevention actions to the required standards.
7. Oversee the day-to-day running of the staff facilities including vending services, maintenance of stocks/consumables in the staff canteen, staff washroom facilities, and all associated equipment.
8. Conduct compliance audits/inspections of internal hygiene standards and documentation.
9. Manage the provision of hygiene chemicals and dosing equipment on-site, including regular reviews with chemical suppliers, periodic chemical dosing checks, maintenance of equipment, and oversee the safe storage, decant, transport, and use of chemicals on-site.
10. Provide training and awareness for all hygiene and waste handling staff in all procedures relevant to their role.
11. Ensure all tasks are conducted in accordance with all legislative, company, and site health & safety policies and ensure that all hazards, accidents/incidents are reported and investigated in a timely manner.
12. Ensure material safety data sheets for all chemicals used on site are maintained, updated regularly, and are accessible to all staff.
13. Carry out any reasonable request from the Managing Director in order to meet the needs of the business.
14. General - Ensure all disciplinary incidents and staff absence are dealt with in a professional and timely manner and in accordance with the company Human Resources policies.
