Full job description

The Human Resource and Office Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) and ensure the office's effective administration.

Reports to: Managing Director and Corporate Service Manager

Responsibilities:

Human Resources

  1. Handle the full life cycle of the recruitment and selection function from posting vacant positions, screening, short-listing, conducting interviews, reference and other background checks.
  2. Maintain and update the filing of HR files.
  3. Ensure compliance of Greenfield Resources with the labour legislation and other relevant compliance requirements.
  4. Prepare new employees through onboarding and training programs.
  5. Establish and maintain complete and up-to-date employee personnel files to ensure compliance with South African employment laws.
  6. Maintain, review, and develop job descriptions for all positions.
  7. Review and update human resource policies and procedures in line with legislation.
  8. Conduct periodic pay surveys and implement pay structure revisions.
  9. Maintain employee benefits (Medical Aid and Provident fund).
  10. Compile payroll and reconciliation of leave every month.
  11. Manage the training of Greenfield including training needs analysis, planning training, scheduling training (internal and external), and ensuring the submissions of the Annual Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and ATR.

Office Manager

  1. Oversee the effective administration of the office (office equipment, supplies, and cleaning services).
  2. Develop an annual calendar for the organization and ensure all activities are included (staff meetings, performance management meetings, compliance, team building, training, CSI events, and marketing events).
  3. Manage and control departmental expenditure.
  4. Ensure adherence to ISO standards.
  5. Maintain office efficiency by planning and implementing office policies and procedures.

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

  1. Degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
  2. At least 3 to 5 years in a similar role.
  3. Previous experience in construction will be an added advantage.

Minimum Additional Training and/or Registrations:

  1. SABPP, IPM, or other related bodies are optional.

  4. Planning and organizational skills.
  5. Handling disciplinary issues.
