A leading civil engineering firm is seeking an experienced Human Resources Administrator to join their dynamic team. This generalist role is essential for providing effective HR administrative support to the HR Manager, with a focus on managing the employee life cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Attracting, recruiting, and selecting top candidates.
Onboarding and inducting new employees to ensure a smooth transition.
Administering training and development initiatives.
Managing remuneration and benefits processes.
Overseeing risk and compliance management, including annual reporting and audits.
Participating in various HR projects to enhance our HR practices.
Liaising with external partners to ensure effective HR operations.
Performing general HR-related administrative duties as needed.
Requirements:
Degree/diploma in HR or a related field (non-negotiable).
3-5 years of HR administration experience.
Proven experience as an HR Administrator, HR Administrative Assistant, or in a similar role.
Familiarity with HR software; experience with SAGE 300 People System is a distinct advantage.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Strong understanding of South African labour laws; exposure to unions or bargaining councils is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Professional registration with SABPP as an HR Associate or HR Professional would be highly beneficial.
