As HR / Talent Manager, you will be responsible for all HR functions including employee relations, training and development, performance management, and industrial relations:
- Management of the HR team including HR Generalist, IR Lead, Training and Development Manager
- Lead the social committee and work within the annual budget to create a fun, open, and transparent company culture
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs
- Support the performance management process by coordinating performance appraisals, goal setting, and feedback sessions
- Work closely with the Training and Development Manager to implement Learnerships in the retail space and leverage off the WRSETA
- Employee compensation and benefits programs, including salary reviews, incentives, and employee benefits enrolment
- Prepare HR reports and analytics on key HR metrics, such as employee turnover, recruitment, training, and performance
- Ensure that any disputes between the employees and the employer are dealt with swiftly in conjunction with the IR Lead
- Ensure compliance with the EE Act
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources Management, Organizational Behaviour or Development, Organizational Psychology, or a similar field
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role
- Good knowledge of labour legislation – LRA, BCEA (specifically employment contracts, employee leave, and Unions)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport at all levels of the organization
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
