Role Overview

Inviting applications for the role of Human Resource Business Partner – Senior Manager – English! You will be responsible to be an effective influencer, knowledgeable about the business, and whose impact and value is clear to the client group and HR org alike.

Responsibilities

  1. Hands-on role in ensuring smooth and compliant running of the Accounts assigned.
  2. Active collaboration with multiple COEs, such as payroll, C&B, Mobility, HR Admin and having an active role in various employee life cycle processes.
  3. Drive governance on critical human resource metrics such as retention, engagement & cost for a fast-paced business.
  4. Engage & work with key internal and external partners in a matrixed relationship for C&B, Staffing, HRSS and the business.
  5. Operate independently & ensure employee satisfaction & development of the team.
  6. Train, mentor and lead HR initiatives and best practices.
  7. Directly interact with internal stakeholders.
  8. Lead the way in implementing change initiatives related to culture, performance, recognition, and policies.
  9. Promote alignment and collaboration across the organization, driving synergy and perspective, demonstrate common process and consistent messaging.
  10. Coach individual managers on growing management capabilities.
  11. Understand the business and its challenges to help address the organization and peoples' ask.
  12. Assist with the change process as the company meets the challenges of hyper-growth and the need to scale.
  13. Partner with centres of excellence to tackle business problems and to execute on corporate-wide talent initiatives.
  14. Deliver short-term solutions while also solving for long-term problems by addressing immediate challenges and underlying causes.
  15. Use data to measure success: learn, iterate, and improve; analyze trends and develop proactive actions to further support business objectives.
  16. Consult legal counsel to ensure that policies and actions comply with statutory regulations by government/non-government bodies.
  17. Manage, own and maintain all communication and records required for statutory compliances.
  18. Own/drive HR policies and directives and ensure smooth implementation across the organization.
  19. Manage all disciplinary matters and represent the company at CCMA up to Arbitration.
  20. Manage section transfer processes.
  21. Manage organizational restructuring in line with business operational requirements.
  22. Onboarding and inductions of employees.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  2. Member of South African Board of People Practices as an advantage.
  3. Demonstrated competence in various HR functional areas, especially employee relations, employee engagement, and change management.
  4. Proven expertise in employee relations and extensive knowledge of the South African Labour Relations Act and Basic Conditions of Employment Act.
  5. Project management.
  6. MS Office (Advanced).

Preferred Qualifications / Skills

  1. Comfortable and thrive in an ambiguous, high growth, fast-paced environment.
  2. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  3. Demonstrated credibility and integrity in communications to ensure information flows both upward and downward.
