Job description

Our client working in the health care sector, is seeking a skilled HR Solutions and Services Specialist to join their team on an 8 to 9 month fixed-term contract.

Summary: The HR Solutions & Services Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of local HR services to ensure compliance, efficiency, and alignment with organizational objectives.

This role involves HR administration, payroll management, labor law compliance, workforce administration, and employee consultation.

Additionally, the specialist will collaborate with global HR teams to address country-specific HR challenges, stay updated on regulations, and provide guidance to managers and employees.

Job Roles and Responsibilities

  • Managing all aspects of local HR services to ensure compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness in support of the organization's objectives.
  • Overseeing HR administration, providing HR solutions, and managing country-specific services.
  • Being in charge of local payroll activities and working very closely with the payroll vendor to address employees' queries if any.
  • Involvement in creating and validating payroll inputs.
  • Being instrumental in executing the BBBEE agenda and will be involved in any employee-related issues from a labor law perspective.
  • Being the face for employee consultation and representation of HR in the labor court.
  • Managing workforce administration, document management, benefits administration, regulatory reporting, vendor management, offer and hire process, onboarding, compensation administration, and payroll coordination.
  • Ensuring compliance with local regulations and labor laws, managing labor relations, developing HR policies and procedures, and providing guidance to managers and employees on HR matters.
  • Addressing HR challenges unique to the country, collaborating with global HR teams, and staying updated on local regulations and market trends.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, or a related field.
  • English on C1 level.
  • Proven experience in HR administration, payroll coordination, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience managing labor relations and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Additional certifications in HR management or payroll administration are advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with local labor laws and regulations.
