Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Training and development, Talent Optimization
  2. Developing a training plan as per plant requirements
  3. Compile a Multiskilling Programme
  4. Human Resource Administration
  5. Ensure all HR systems are attended to and up to date, capturing on ESS and Clocking System
  6. Ensure all HR Job Descriptions correspond with Organisational Structures
  7. Ensure Employee Personal Files are updated
  8. Ensure Employee Training Files are updated
  9. Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolving issues promptly and organize team building activities
  10. Gather and analyse data with useful HR metrics i.e. time to hire and employee turnover rates
  11. Timeous and accurate documentation submission to the payroll department as per the HR Calendar
  12. Compile HR budget for Training, legal, EWP (employee wellbeing)
  13. Produce and submit reports on HR activities to Plant Manager and Head Office (HR Generalist)
  14. Performance Management
  15. Implementation of performance management for all employees as per the Guidelines
  16. Undertake tasks around performance management
  17. Organize bi-annual and annual employee performance reviews
  18. Recruitment & Selection
  19. Compliance with Company recruitment policy
  20. Cost effective recruitment strategy by seeking the most cost-effective way of recruitment
  21. Improve quality of the candidates
  22. Labour Relations and Employee Relations
  23. Coordinate approved Employee wellness preprogrammes
  24. Coordinate approved Team Building Initiatives
  25. Ensure correct disciplinary procedures are followed
  26. Attend to disciplinary, incapacity and grievance hearings and matters
  27. Provide sound labour relations advice and support Management
  28. Compile CCMA/Bargaining council packs
  29. Representation of the Company at Conciliations and Arbitrations
  30. Compile/Formulate all warning forms
  31. Submit weekly disciplinary report to HR Generalist (Head Office)
  32. Promote HR programmes to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  33. Create Awareness for Absenteeism
  34. Compliance with Employment Equity Act for the company, including arranging of meetings as per EE Deputy/Manager
  35. Compliance with all HR related legislation
  36. Ensure induction programme for new recruits as well as refreshers are conducted
  37. Any other reasonable and lawful instructions required by management

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Matric (Grade 12)
  2. Completed qualification in Human resources or related qualifications (essential)
  3. Minimum 5 Years experience in a similar role
  4. Exposure to Labour law and employment equity regulations
  5. Exposure to payroll practices advantageous

Skills and Personal Attributes:

  1. Well experienced in conflict management in the workplace
  2. Support manager in a constructive manner, ensuring that the internal department relationships are maintained
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication
  4. Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
  5. Meticulous attention to detail
  6. Between 5 - 7 Years
