Job description

Operations:

  1. Coordinate legal matters and compliance with management and ILS
  2. Advise on discipline and performance management
  3. Representation of the Company at the CCMA and the Labour Court
  4. Maintaining HR compliance
  5. Employment Equity protocol and submissions to the Department of Labour requirements
  6. Union bargaining council protocol
  7. Ensure that the grievance procedures are communicated to all staff and that it is followed
  8. Act as final escalation of grievances that could not be sorted out earlier in the process
  9. Ensuring that all employees within the company are trained to appropriate standards to deliver the best possible service.
  10. Insure that the induction protocol is followed
  11. Assisting in the annual review and HR status protocol
  12. Assisting in the personal development and career development protocol

Administration:

  1. Maintain the master database of all job descriptions within the company
  2. Ensure staff database is kept up to date
  3. Responsible for archiving of old employee files
  4. Maintain the master dress code and uniform manual
  5. Maintain employee files
  6. Ensure all foreign employees have the needed documentation to work
  7. Oversee annual leave planning and schedules
  8. Conduct scheduled, structured, on-site HR audits of all products and business units

General:

  1. Ensure protocol relating to staff functions and benefits are offered
  2. Assist with staff housing and transport programmes
  3. Responsible for staff wellness
  4. Ensuring POPI Act is followed

Experience:

  1. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the same or similar position
  2. Applicable Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources, Organisational /Industrial Psychology or People Management
  3. Familiar with all legislature and amendments with regards to Human Resources (LRA, BCEA, EEA, SDA, OHSA, COIDA)
  4. Familiarity with Sectoral Determination 6 and 14 advantageous
  5. Familiar with VIP Premier Payroll System
