HR / IR Officer

Our Client in the Civil Engineering Industry is currently seeking a successful candidate that would need to manage human resources planning, policies, and strategies; employee relations; control reward & retention, report employee information & analytics; handle conflict & community disputes and conduct employee communication.

Requirements:

• Matric Certificate
• Tertiary Degree / Diploma in Human Resources or Relevant qualification
• A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in both HR and Civil Engineering Industry
• Valid driver’s license

POSITION INFO:

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage disputes and conflict between community members, site personnel and community leaders.
• Understanding community culture and ethics to ensure appropriate conflict management skills are used.
• Capability to manage CCMA, BIBC and BCCEI disputes and resolutions, including conflict between employees.
• Ability to build and maintain constructive relationships with management, staff and external communities so as to ensure the smooth facilitation of project completion.
• Ability to facilitate and chair key meetings between stakeholders, community members and site personnel.
• Advising all employees on the interpretation, application and implementation of employment law and policies, procedures and processes.
• Facilitate the management and promotion of fair and sound Labour Relations by interpreting and applying the Employment Equity Act; Labour Relations Act; Basic Conditions of Employment Act; Workplace Law; Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases (COID) Act; Occupational Health and Safety Act and Bargaining Council (wages, annual leave, climatic conditions).
