Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership & Supervision: Oversee and support a team of casework officers, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
2. Case Management & Quality Assurance: Monitor casework, ensuring compliance with legislation, council policies, and best practices.
3. Homelessness Prevention & Housing Solutions: Develop pathways for single homeless individuals, ensuring timely interventions.
4. Partnership Working: Collaborate with housing providers, legal teams, and support services to improve customer outcomes.
5. Performance Management: Drive service improvements, monitor staff workload, and ensure KPIs are met.
6. Strategic Support: Deputise for the Team Manager, contribute to policy development, and attend multi-agency case meetings.

Essential Skills & Experience:

1. Experience working in a local authority or housing association.
2. Proven experience managing a frontline homelessness team within a local authority.
3. Strong knowledge of Housing Act 1996 (Part VII), Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, and relevant housing legislation.
4. Experience in leading a team in a housing or homelessness prevention service.
5. Ability to manage complex casework, ensuring legal and policy compliance. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
6. Proficiency in IT systems, including case management databases.
