Job Type: Full-time/ Part-Time

Quality Control Laboratories LLC. is looking for experienced Inspectors (Full-time and Part-Time) for NYCDOT projects under the supervision of a Professional Licensed Engineer.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Engineering
• NICET II – Asphalt certification and/or NYHMA Field Density and NYHMA QA/QC Certifications
• Current OSHA 30
• Active Driver’s License
• Experience working with NYC DOT Asphalt paving is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Essential Functions:

• Assigned to various NYC DOT Asphalt paving projects around the five (5) boroughs.
• Inspect and test paving operations in compliance with project plans, specifications, and industry standards, using a Nuclear Gauge.
• Prepare daily field inspection reports on time and adhere to procedures for notifying discrepancies.
• Communicate with project managers, colleagues, and contractors as necessary.
• Utilize computer-based web applications and other relevant office software to complete daily reports.

Other Requirements:

• Maneuver within the job site to access necessary testing areas, materials, and equipment throughout the entire shift.
• Lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 lbs. (such as Nuclear Gauge Equipment and other types of equipment).
