We're on the hunt for a charismatic, quick-witted, people-loving Host to be the smile at the front door of our hotel.

If you've got the charm of a talk-show host, the grace of a ballet dancer, and the memory of an elephant (for guest names, of course), we want you on our team.

CPT | PERMANENT | NEGOTIABLE

Summary: To manage and control all self-catering apartments to the standards laid down by the Company, maximising revenues, and profits to agreed budgetary limits.

DUTIES:

Front Desk

1. Ensure all bookings are prepared prior to check-ins.
2. Introduce and maintain the most efficient check-in/out procedures on Opera & WhatsApp.
3. Ensure that reservations are taken correctly and courteously.
4. Ensure guests are greeted, checked into allocated rooms promptly and courteously via WhatsApp.
5. Ensure credit control procedures are strictly adhered to.
6. Ensure that accounts are balanced daily.
7. Manage the arrivals and departures for the day.
8. Ensure that inspection is conducted prior to the arrivals of guests.

Communication

1. Ensure effective liaison between reservations and front office staff with other departments.
2. Ensure accurate and timely submission of all reports and administrative work.
3. Attend all management meetings as required.

Guest Relations

1. Readily available at all times to deal with problems or complaints in person and on WhatsApp.
2. Tend to and arrange for guest needs.
3. Monitor trends within the industry and make suggestions on how these could be implemented.

QUALIFICATION:

Grade 12 Hospitality qualification (advantageous), Opera (advantageous).

EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience in the same or similar position, familiar with duties and procedures in the self-catering department or Airbnb.
