Health & Safety Officer (18-Month Contract)

Location : City of Cape Town, Dassenberg, Atlantis

Job Type : Temporary, expected to work full-time hours

Salary : ZAR25000 - ZAR30000 per month

Job Duties :

• Implement and maintain health and safety standards on construction sites
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and risks
• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
• Provide safety training to employees and contractors
• Investigate accidents and incidents, and report findings
• Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation

Required Qualifications :

• Health and Safety qualification / certification
• SACPCMP registration is mandatory
• First Aid certification
• Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role
• Knowledge of construction health and safety regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education :

• Relevant degree or diploma in Health and Safety or related field

Experience :

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a health and safety role within the construction industry

Knowledge and Skills :

• Understanding of risk assessment and management
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail

Working Conditions :

• The role involves working on construction sites and may require outdoor work
