Hire Resolve’s Client in the Property & Real Estate industry is looking for a Health & Safety Officer to ensure legal compliance to OHS Act and applicable regulations by assisting, giving advice, and enforcing HSE issues related to the contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the workplace to identify potential hazards and risks.
Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local and federal regulations.
Provide training and education to employees on health and safety protocols and procedures.
Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective action plans.
Assist in the development of emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness.
Monitor and analyze health and safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and accountability.
Stay informed about changes in health and safety legislation and best practices and make recommendations for updates to policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as occupational health and safety, environmental health, or a related discipline.
Certified Health & Safety Professional (CHSP) designation or equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a corporate or industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and influence positive change.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
