Health & Safety Officer
Job description
Hire Resolve's client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Health & Safety Officer to join their team in Paulspietersburg, Empangeni.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks
- Investigate accidents or incidents and implement corrective actions
- Provide training to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols
- Keep up-to-date with health and safety legislation and regulations
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety matters
- Collaborate with management to create a culture of safety awareness within the organization
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
- Certified Health & Safety Officer (CHSO) designation preferred
- More than 5 years experience in civils, traffic accommodation, blasting operations, and piling activities
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
