Health and Safety Officer

Formal Qualification

• National Diploma in Safety Management and/or
• Various health & safety and/or legal compliance courses
• SACPCMP Registration as Safety Officer (CHSO)

Experience

• 5 years relevant experience

Experience Required

• Good knowledge of the OHS Act and other applicable legislation
• Knowledge of SANS Code 10085-Scaffold Inspection and Erector
• Good knowledge of safety systems and ability to interpret situations to take appropriate action
• Highlighting and escalating major risks and non-conformances
• Good judgment in identifying life-threatening situations or major risks to the company
• Auditing and monthly reports
• Implementation of safety systems on site
• Initial training of site staff, monitoring and rendering assistance when required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R15000,00 - R25000,00 per month
