Health and Safety Officer

Working Hours: Monday - Friday : 07 : 00 – 17 : 00

A leading construction firm is seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Officer to ensure safety compliance and risk management on their construction sites in Darling, Western Cape.

• Contract-based position - 6 months, with a possibility of extension but not guaranteed.
• The successful candidate will be placed on a project and may move to new sites with the client.

Minimum Requirements :

• SACPCMP Registered Safety Officer
• 6+ years of experience in construction safety on large sites
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle preferred
• Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
• Capable of managing interactions with diverse personalities and standing firm on legal matters
• High attention to detail

Duties will include but are not limited to :

• Conducting inspections and audits on construction sites
• Managing general risk awareness and control
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and legal standards
• Overseeing safety documentation and reporting incidents as necessary
