Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head Waiter to join our team. The Head Waiter will be responsible for overseeing the dining operations and managing a team of waiters to ensure exceptional service is provided to our guests. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the dining room, including scheduling, training, and supervising the wait staff.
- Ensure that all guests are provided with exceptional service and that their dining experience meets or exceeds their expectations.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining room, ensuring all health and safety standards are met.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food service.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Create and maintain a positive and productive work environment for the wait staff.
- Train new employees on company policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to the wait staff.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and make recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a cruise ship or high-end restaurant setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficient in English, with knowledge of other languages being a plus.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
