Job description
Our well-established client in the pharmaceutical industry has a vacancy available for Head of Training to be based at the Parktown office.
Your Mission: Develop Future Leaders
As Head of Training – Leadership & Organizational Development, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing leadership training programs that empower employees to step into leadership roles. You will create structured programs, integrate leadership training into performance reviews, and ensure a strong pipeline of future leaders across the company.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leadership Development & Succession Planning:
Implement a Leadership Acceleration Program to fast-track high-potential employees.
Drive succession planning to ensure long-term leadership continuity.
Utilize the People Analyzer Model and IDPs to track leadership readiness.
Design & Execute Leadership Training
Build and run executive leadership programs for managers, senior leaders, and executives.
Introduce cutting-edge coaching methodologies, talent development frameworks, and the Challenger Sales Model.
Partner with top business schools, executive coaches, and learning institutions to enhance training quality.
Performance & Talent Development
Integrate leadership training into performance reviews and promotion pathways.
Conduct quarterly and annual team development meetings to assess and guide talent growth.
Work closely with department heads to identify and fast-track high-potential employees.
Build a Culture Of Leadership
Establish mentorship programs to support employees at different career levels.
Oversee an annual leadership summit to assess talent and drive internal promotions.
Align leadership training with Austell’s long-term vision and global expansion goals.
Measure Your Impact
Ensure 75% of leadership positions are filled internally.
Track employee engagement in leadership programs and report on promotion rates.
Present quarterly impact reports on leadership development outcomes.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Leadership & Talent Development, HR, Business Administration (MBA with HR/Leadership focus), or Corporate Learning.
Certifications such as ICF Executive Coaching, CIPD Talent Management, PROSCI Change Management, or ATD Certified Talent Development are a strong plus.
Experience & Skills
10+ years in leadership development, talent management, or corporate training.
5+ years in a senior leadership or training role in a large or mid-sized company.
Proven experience in building leadership programs that led to measurable career growth.
Strong background in succession planning, high-potential talent identification, and performance management integration.
Experience in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, FMCG, or high-growth corporate environments is a plus.
