Description Our client based in Sandton, Gauteng currently looking to employ a Head of Sales and Marketing.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary Qualification (Degree/ National Diploma/ NQF Level in Sales and Marketing).
  • Product-level certification(s) would be advantageous.
  • Minimum of twenty years’ experience in B2B sales, with a proven successful track record in B2B sales and sales management.
  • Domain knowledge and expertise in data and communication infrastructure.
  • MS Office and/or Google Suite.
  • Tendering and preparation of tender responses.
  • Exceptional track record in sales leadership.
  • Exceptional communication skills at board level.
  • Ability to uncover business needs and devise customer focused business solutions.
  • Excellent presentation skills (also what and how to present a business solution).
  • Ability to solve business, people and customer related problems.
  • Must be decisive and be willing to implement tough decisions.
  • Exceptional communication skills: Written, spoken, listening and presentations.
  • Ability to negotiate complex solutions (Especially at board level).
  • Ability to understand an individual’s motivation and development requirements and manage individuals based on their individual needs.
  • Ability to mould individuals into a high-performance team.
  • A broad knowledge of business economics and business finance (Should be able to analyse business financial statements).

Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:
Business Development:
  • Identity and develop business with new clients.
  • Identify new products and solutions for the relevant business area in collaboration with the LoB heads and the Head of Technology.
  • New product solution positioning.
  • New product pricing strategy.
  • Manage the creation and be accountable for all client proposals, contracts, and related documentation.
  • Prepare and submit tenders and requests for information promptly.
  • Do and approve quotations according to authority levels.
Sales Process Management:
  • Manage new customer relationships to ensure continued revenue generation.
  • Identify prospective new business opportunities.
  • Provide information on customer and market intelligence.
  • Actively and consistently manage all customer interactions, including during the sales cycle, to maintain a high level of new customer satisfaction, using the company’s approved account planning methodology.
  • In collaboration with the LOB heads and the sales team, develop a client database and ensure that it remains current.
  • Have regular meetings with key stakeholders to assess customer satisfaction levels and identify areas for customer development.
  • Maintain price lists with support staff from local and overseas suppliers, understand exchange rates, duties, and transport costs, and maintain healthy gross margins.
Utilisation / Impact:
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing activities to support a continuous learning and development culture amongst peers and colleagues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of processes and documentation relevant to the area of operations that he/she is responsible for.
