Job description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Head of Product is responsible for leading the product strategy, vision, and execution for the company’s software solutions. This role forms part of the leadership team and involves managing the entire product lifecycle—from discovery & ideation to launch—while aligning product initiatives & evolution with business goals. The Head of Product collaborates cross-functionally with development, design, account management, and sales teams to deliver innovative and scalable software products that drive growth and enhance customer satisfaction.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE ROLE

  1. Product Strategy & Vision
    1. Define and communicate a clear product vision aligned with company objectives;
    2. Lead, develop and execute high performance product roadmaps that drive business growth and user engagement;
    3. Effectively lead the product organization and promote a highly collaborative environment across all teams ultimately ensuring the effective delivery and support of products and services;
    4. Identify market opportunities and emerging technology trends to shape product innovation.
  2. Leadership, Team Management & Engagement
    1. Lead, mentor, and grow the product development team, fostering a high-performance culture;
    2. Drive high levels of employee engagement and champion a culture of high performance;
    3. Promote collaboration between product, development, design, marketing, and sales teams;
    4. Establish best practices with scrum master & leads for product development and management processes.
  3. Product Development & Execution
    1. Oversee the full product lifecycle from concept to launch and iteration;
    2. Prioritize features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market research, and business impact;
    3. Achieve timely and high-quality product delivery by managing sprints and release schedules through the dedicated scrum master.
  4. Customer-Centric Innovation
    1. Gather insights from customers, market research, and analytics to inform product decisions;
    2. Advocate for user experience (UX) excellence and data-driven product improvements.
  5. Strategic Stakeholder Engagement
    1. Collaborate with executive leadership to align product goals with company strategy;
    2. Communicate product plans, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders and investors;
    3. Drive go-to-market strategies in partnership with marketing and sales teams.
  6. Performance Tracking & Optimization
    1. Define and track key product performance metrics (KPIs) to measure success;
    2. Continuously iterate on product offerings based on performance data and feedback.

Minimum requirements

DESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES

a) Education & Qualification

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  2. 8 years of experience in product management within the software or technology industry.
  3. Proven experience in leading and scaling product teams.
  4. Strong understanding of agile development methodologies and product lifecycle management.
  5. Demonstrated success in developing and launching software products.
  6. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  7. Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

b) Preferred Skills

  1. Experience in SaaS, cloud computing, or enterprise software products.
  2. Technical background or hands-on experience with software development.
  3. Familiarity with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Aha!).
  4. Understanding of user experience (UX) design principles.
  5. Knowledge of market trends in AI, machine learning, or data analytics.
