We’re looking for an experienced Head of Marketing to drive the brand positioning and presence for one of the leading IPPs in South Africa’s renewable energy sector.
This strategic leadership role is perfect for someone with a proven track record in B2B marketing, particularly in commercial and industrial sectors, and a deep understanding of digital marketing techniques.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
MBA or similar is highly advantageous
Experience Requirements
10+ years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership position
Experience working across both strategy and execution, with a proven track record of building and managing marketing teams
A strong foundation in digital marketing, including a deep understanding of SEO, SEM, content marketing, and lead generation
A strategic mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and a strong desire to make a meaningful impact in the renewable energy sector
Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with business goals, focusing on expanding the commercial and industrial customer base
Brand Positioning & Messaging: Refine and communicate the company’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all channels and developing content that educates and promotes the company’s renewable energy solutions
Event Marketing & Industry Engagement: Identify and manage participation in industry events, conferences, and webinars to build connections and enhance brand exposure
Lead Generation & Customer Acquisition: Design and execute targeted campaigns to generate high-quality leads and collaborate with the sales team to nurture and convert them
Digital Marketing & Online Presence: Oversee digital marketing efforts, including website optimisation, social media campaigns, and email marketing, ensuring strong online visibility and engagement
Public Relations & Thought Leadership: Build the company’s reputation as a thought leader in the renewable energy space, working with media and industry influencers
Data-Driven Marketing: Track, measure, and optimise campaign performance to drive results, ensuring marketing initiatives align with business objectives
Budget & Resource Management: Manage marketing budgets efficiently to maximise ROI
