Lead Strategic Capability Projects in Risk, ESG & Sustainable Finance

Be the architect of future-ready learning. We're looking for an accomplished Head of Learning & Organisational Development to spearhead two game-changing initiatives for one of South Africa's leading banks (client confidential).

This role offers the rare opportunity to shape an integrated learning ecosystem across multi-cluster environments, with a strong focus on Risk, Audit, ESG, and Sustainable Finance. What You'll Be Driving

  1. Design & Deliver a future-fit learning framework for strategic upskilling across multiple business clusters.
  2. Mobilise Experts and align critical toolkits, skillsets, and application strategies for top-priority domains.
  3. Evaluate & Enhance existing learning solutions, frameworks, and vendor partnerships.
  4. Benchmark Globally through external scans and best-practice comparisons.
  5. Map & Match learning needs to agile, scalable solutions and design a sustainable delivery model.
  6. Activate Learning academies and drive adoption of internal and external development pathways.
  7. Track & Measure success through performance reporting and business value alignment.
  8. Influence & Inspire senior leaders while forging long-term strategic learning partnerships.

You Bring

  1. A postgraduate qualification in Learning & Development, Organisational Development, HR, or equivalent.
  2. 6-8 years of senior L&D leadership within the banking or financial services industry.
  3. Proven experience leading strategic learning initiatives across Risk, ESG, Audit, or Sustainable Finance domains.
  4. A deep understanding of L&D ecosystems from needs analysis to content delivery and ROI reporting.
  5. Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to lead cross-functional delivery teams.
