Lead my client's HR and Payroll team to new heights as their visionary Head of HR and Payroll!

POSITION INFO :

My client is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of HR and Payroll to join their team and drive their HR initiatives to support their business objectives.

This role is based in Centurion, Pretoria.

Key Responsibilities :

People Management :

  1. Lead and oversee the HR team to achieve set goals and outcomes.
  2. Conduct performance reviews and manage potential risks.
  3. Approve payroll and align HR projects with business strategy.
  4. Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of HR services.
  5. Develop and implement effective recruitment and selection strategies.
  6. Create and execute onboarding and induction plans.
  7. Integrate HR best practices across all HR functions.

Employment Equity :

  1. Implement the Employment Equity (EE) plan and perform EE management duties.

Learning & Development :

  1. Establish and drive learning and development strategies.
  2. Promote a culture of continuous learning to enhance employee performance.
  3. Stay informed about employee training needs and requirements.

Performance & Reward Management :

  1. Design and implement performance and reward strategies.
  2. Maintain fair and sustainable performance and reward processes aligned with the company's culture and objectives.
  3. Report on non-financial rewards and market-related salaries.

Talent Management :

  1. Develop and execute succession and career planning strategies.
  2. Identify key leadership roles and high-potential employees.
  3. Implement leadership development plans to nurture talent for future roles.
  4. Create strategies to retain employees and develop their potential.

Employee Engagement & Wellness :

  1. Execute culture strategies and plan employee engagement activities.
  2. Promote initiatives that help employees manage their wellbeing effectively.
  3. Implement programs to enhance employee wellness.

Psychometric Assessments :

  1. Conduct job analyses for all vacancies.
  2. Administer psychometric assessments and provide feedback to management and employees.

Reporting :

  1. Deliver insightful reports on HR metrics such as attrition analysis, BEE appointments, and recruitment costs.

Ad Hoc :

  1. Develop and manage annual function and HR budgets.
  2. Report to management committees as required.

Qualifications and Experience needed :

  1. Degree or Honours in HR or Industrial Psychology.
  2. 5 years proven experience as a HOD in HR and Payroll.
  3. Strong leadership and people management skills.
  4. Excellent strategic thinking and implementation abilities.
  5. In-depth knowledge of HR best practices and employment law.
