About the Resort:

Our client operates a bustling, fully inclusive luxury beach resort in the stunning locale of Zanzibar. With over 180 rooms, extensive public areas, and an on-site laundry, the resort promises an unforgettable experience for guests from around the world. To maintain the high standards of service and cleanliness, we are seeking an experienced and energetic Executive Housekeeper to join a dedicated team.

Role Overview:

As the Executive Housekeeper, you will oversee a team of 40 staff, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and orderliness throughout the resort. This hands-on role requires a leader who is constantly engaged with their team, driving excellence and consistency in all housekeeping operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain high cleanliness standards across all areas of the resort.
• Engage actively with the housekeeping team on the floor, providing leadership and support.
• Oversee the on-site laundry operations.
• Train and develop staff to ensure top performance and adherence to standards.
• Plan and manage resources effectively in a remote location.
• Foster a positive, motivated, and multicultural team environment.

Candidate Attributes/Skills:

• Previous experience in a similar Executive Housekeeper role in a four or five-star property.
• Proven experience overseeing on-site laundries.
• Prior experience in Africa is a significant advantage.
• Ability to manage a multicultural team and work effectively in a remote location.
• Strong planning and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and motivational abilities.
• Creative thinking and adaptability.
• Good sense of humour and the ability to interact comfortably with guests.
