Head of Finance

Are you a strategic and dynamic finance leader with a passion for property management? Our client, a leading residential property management company, is seeking a Head of Finance (CA(SA)) to oversee and drive the financial operations of their growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage the finance team to achieve departmental and company objectives.
• Develop, implement, and maintain financial and operational controls to safeguard company assets and enhance cost efficiency.
• Drive cost management initiatives to optimize profitability.
• Ensure full compliance with SARS, FICA, and PPRA regulations.
• Manage external audits, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of annual financial statements and trust account audits.
• Prepare and oversee group budgets, including subsidiaries and divisions.
• Present relevant, timely, and accurate financial and management reports to support executive decision-making.
• Oversee the efficient management of trust accounts in line with regulations and internal policies.
• Handle cash flow management, including banking and financial institution relationships.
• Provide financial analysis for strategic decision-making, including remuneration structures, feasibility studies, and cost assessments.
• Ensure intercompany loan reconciliations and exposure to basic consolidations.
• Manage VAT and PAYE reconciliations with SARS.
• Lead and support ad hoc finance-related projects aligned with the company’s growth strategy.

Key Requirements:

• CA(SA) qualification is essential
• Minimum 5+ years of senior financial management experience, preferably within property management or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of trust accounting and IFRS standards is advantageous.
• Experience with intercompany loan reconciliations and financial consolidations.
• Proven ability to implement and maintain financial controls, optimize costs, and manage compliance requirements.
• Exceptional leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in financial reporting and budget preparation.
