Head Of Finance

A medium-sized services provider is urgently seeking an experienced, operational, hands-on, yet commercially strong, Head of Finance to join their team in Durban, KZN. The role will start off as a contract role, with a minimum of 6 months, and will be ideally suited to an experienced person who is immediately available, or available shortly. The company has a lot of moving parts and will require an agile person who can adapt to circumstances as they change.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Take full financial responsibility for one of the Group Companies.
2. Oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
3. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
4. Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making.
5. Manage financial relationships with banks, auditors, and institutions.
6. Build, lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
7. Identify and mitigate financial risks.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Qualified CA(SA); CGMA.
2. Immediate, or short-term availability is highly preferred.
3. 5 years minimum of experience working in a managerial / leadership role within the services sector.
4. Deadline-driven, strong communicator and leader / manager.

R - R1 / annum CTC heavily dependent on experience.
