Head of Business Unit

Our Fintech client has an opening for a Head of Business Unit for their lending team.

They seek an individual who has an entrepreneurial spirit and can lead and build a team to its full potential. In this role, you will be required to:

• Define strategic objectives of the business; business planning, and financial planning and set the direction of the business in line with the strategy required by my client
• Manage and oversee 3 credit product portfolios
• Prepare financial spreadsheets and models to support new and existing credit products.
• Responsible for the full Profit and loss (P&L) of the Division
• Manage risk and control effectively by applying applicable risk frameworks and embedding a positive risk culture.
• Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and driving necessary changes within the division
• Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Marketing, Sales, and Development teams to drive and coordinate product initiatives

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or other business-related fields.
• 4+ years of proven experience in a similar senior role
• Industry experience is highly advantageous (banking/retail/merchant).
• Proven experience in managing a business and or a division within an Organization.
• System development experience is advantageous.
• Proven marketing, sales, and operational experience.
