We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to oversee the kitchen's operations. This is a leadership role that requires expertise in culinary management, staff supervision, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and direct food preparation activities to ensure high-quality dishes and exceptional customer experience.
Develop and implement menus that showcase creative and diverse culinary offerings.
Evaluate and refine dishes before they reach customers, maintaining standards of quality and presentation.
Manage inventory and supplies, ordering equipment and ingredients as needed.
Ensure prompt repairs and address any issues or defects.
Hire, train, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive and respectful work environment.
Oversee subordinate tasks and evaluate staff workload and compensation.
Maintain accurate records of payroll, attendance, and compliance with nutrition, sanitation, and safety regulations.
Promote teamwork and cooperation among colleagues.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Head Chef in a similar establishment.
Exceptional ability to manage kitchen operations, including dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
Up-to-date knowledge of culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes.
Familiarity with computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS) and health and safety training.
Credentials in Culinary Science or related certificate.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
