Introduction

To provide HR Leadership to Business Unit (BU), partnering with business leaders and other stakeholders to achieve business goals by attracting talent and managing talent in the BU. The HRBP further provides a consultancy service, in conjunction with specialist HR functions, that delivers HR best practice and focused HR solutions that support the business. Oversee the full employee lifecycle from talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, learning and development and employee relations.

Job description

  • Partner with the business unit leaders to drive the succession planning process and interventions to ensure good bench strength of future leaders;
  • Drive the strategic talent acquisition process and participate in the selection process;
  • Identify talent management strategic interventions and contribute to the business unit strategy;
  • Facilitate identification of employees' learning and development needs and recommended interventions;
  • Provide advice on career development and competency requirements on each level, in line with the group-wide communities of practice and individual’s career aspirations;
  • Support the strategy implementation initiatives, such as restructuring for cost savings and proactive resourcing;
  • Monitor compliance to human capital management policies and participate in the audit process;
  • Partner with the leaders in workforce optimisation to ensure meaningful utilisation within the business unit;
  • In partnership with the business unit leaders, identify people-related risks and risk mitigation to contribute to the business unit risk people risk register;
  • Provide input to workforce planning and workforce analytics for group-wide reporting purposes;
  • Drive business unit transformation for the purpose of employment equity, diversity and inclusion;
  • Participate, provide input and manage people-related financial provisions;
  • Facilitate meaningful interventions for skills development spend for BBBEE purposes;
  • Manage and drive employee relations and labour relations matters such as redundancy where applicable;
  • Represent the business at CCMA and Labour Court when required;
  • Facilitate disciplinary inquiries, grievance processes and assist the business;
  • Produce monthly HC business unit progress reports;
  • Participate in Adapt IT group-wide initiatives such as coordination and facilitation of group training;
  • Support international offices and understanding of in-country employment laws, in partnership with the relevant specialists;
  • Participate in ISO9001 audits, where applicable;
  • Facilitate exit interviews for management staff members;
  • Partner with leaders to facilitate change management and culture interventions through the employee engagement survey outcomes;
  • Partner with leaders to drive talent management by participating in the calibration process and identification of rising stars;
  • Support the business units on HRIS.
  • Provide support in drafting job specifications and profiling for benchmarking purposes;
  • Provide guidance, advisory services and coaching to employees and management;
  • Facilitate and process employees’ group risk cover claims with the brokers as well as the underwriters;
  • Engage with internal stakeholders in HC communities and central HC, as well as external stakeholders from the business unit’s clients and service providers;
  • Participate in due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, where necessary;
  • Partner with payroll for the payroll exceptions report and participate in the audit process;
  • Facilitate and provide input onto the annual remuneration review and promotions process;
  • Partner with the business in the calibration;
  • Maintain business unit records.

Minimum requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree/Diploma in Human Resources Management or in another related field
  • A minimum of 5 to 8 years’ experience as a Human Capital Business Partner
  • Knowledge of human capital related legislation.
