Job description
- Assist in managing the daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Plan and execute a seasonal, high-end menu featuring fresh and locally sourced ingredients.
- Maintain exceptional food presentation and quality in line with 5-star standards.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring consistency and excellence in food preparation.
- Oversee stock control, kitchen hygiene, and food safety regulations.
- Work closely with the Lodge Manager and Food & Beverage team to enhance guest dining experiences.
- Ensure all dietary requirements and special requests are catered to with precision.
- Maintain a sustainable and waste-conscious approach to food preparation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior chef role within a 5-star game lodge, fine-dining restaurant, or luxury hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership and kitchen management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of modern and traditional culinary techniques.
- Passion for locally sourced, sustainable, and seasonal cuisine.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote lodge environment.
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and stock control.
- Creativity and a commitment to culinary excellence.
