Job description
  • Assist in managing the daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Plan and execute a seasonal, high-end menu featuring fresh and locally sourced ingredients.
  • Maintain exceptional food presentation and quality in line with 5-star standards.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring consistency and excellence in food preparation.
  • Oversee stock control, kitchen hygiene, and food safety regulations.
  • Work closely with the Lodge Manager and Food & Beverage team to enhance guest dining experiences.
  • Ensure all dietary requirements and special requests are catered to with precision.
  • Maintain a sustainable and waste-conscious approach to food preparation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior chef role within a 5-star game lodge, fine-dining restaurant, or luxury hospitality setting.
  • Strong leadership and kitchen management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of modern and traditional culinary techniques.
  • Passion for locally sourced, sustainable, and seasonal cuisine.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote lodge environment.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and stock control.
  • Creativity and a commitment to culinary excellence.
