GROUP FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT – BEDFORDVIEW

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Grade 12
• Completed a B. Com Accounting Degree or related

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 5-8 years experience required as an Accountant
• Computer literate; Syspro will be an advantage
• Must have a strong personality
• Experience within the Wholesale & Retail Industry will be an advantage
• Able to work under pressure
• Very deadline driven oriented

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the trial balance, income statement and balance sheet
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts monthly
• Processing and recordkeeping of all adjustment journals, to be approved by Group Financial Manager
• Preparation and reporting on monthly management accounts to management
• Performing month end and year-end on SYSPRO
• Expense provisions management
• Monthly VAT calculation, reconciliation, submission and payment
• Process monthly journal entries to correct allocations, raise appropriate accruals and provisions and record expenses not processed from the cash book or purchase order systems
