Group Accountant - South Africa

We have an opportunity for you to join a small team as the Group Accountant for a permanent contract in this pivotal role within Finance. As Group Accountant, you will drive structural and operational efficiencies in the Group and deputise for the Group Financial Controller as required.

Summary of your responsibilities:

• Debtor Management
• Payroll
• Creditor Management
• Accounts Reconciliation
• Accounts Preparation and Audit
• Management Reporting
• Assisting senior management with ad-hoc projects in relation to group operations and finances
• Assisting with regulatory requirements in each jurisdiction of operation
• Travelling to respective offices at relevant intervals as directed.
• Liaising with other departments in all jurisdictions where appropriate

You will have:

• Proven Experience and full understanding of accounting procedures
• Fully ACA/ACCA qualified with a minimum of 3 years PQE.
• Knowledge of computerised accounting programs (ideally Sage line50)
• Competent IT skills, including Word and Excel
• Residency in South Africa
• The ability to work within a private and confidential environment
