Group Accountant

A leading global organization specializing in the construction space is looking for a highly skilled Group Accountant to join our dynamic team.

This role is crucial in managing our financial operations across multiple countries and currencies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and consolidate financial statements for the group, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS / GAAP).
2. Cross-Border Transactions: Manage and oversee financial transactions across different countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
3. Currency Management: Handle multi-currency transactions, including foreign exchange gains and losses, and ensure proper accounting treatment.
4. Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts for various international subsidiaries, providing insights and recommendations.
5. Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with international tax laws and regulations, coordinating with local tax advisors as necessary.
6. Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
7. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with finance teams in different countries, providing guidance and support on financial matters.
8. Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred.
2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on multinational operations and cross-border transactions.
3. Skills: Strong knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS / GAAP). Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Language: Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
